Well of course they're Mac friendly; it's the only kind of computer I'll use.

Glad you like them! :)

I love 'em! -- (both Macs, the only kind of computers I've ever owned and would; and the skins) -- but I'm curious:

As a Mac skinner, do you count the characters in the filenames to make sure they're within the limit/manually name your skins (including what to me is that "scary stuff" inside .cmx and .skn files) -- or do you just make the skins, call 'em whatever you think of, but run them through Skin Shrinker prior to zipping/releasing them to make sure they go out good for Macs?

I feel an ancient Neighbourhood coming on. These are BEAUTIFUL skins! Thank you very much.

Thing that put me off Antique times sims is that all of them in togas look so.... disappointing, since I know a bit about clothing history.

All downloaded, thank you!

Well okay, I'm not that far along that I'm really going into cmx's; I'm just keeping the file names smallish and figuring if it works on my computer it'll be okay. Not really very high-tech, I'm afraid. :)

And thank you, Sita; I started my own proto-ancient neighborhood last night. I actually sat down with one of Arthur Evans's books (the archaeologist who dug at Knossos) and started making the Temple/palace complex after his plans. That's a lot of rooms! I'll need more wallpaper, I think.

Hey Thalia,

it is only now I read this thread - however I do have all your skins, of course. Your colorful skins are an absolute must have for every ancient time simmer notworthy

Since I am about to create for a Minoan theme (actually various goddesses objects but have landed in Creta now - a premiere for finally using your Minoan skins) I took a closer look to your site and happened to see bull horn objects and Minoan pillars which are not uploaded to your site. So I am looking for them here in SO - or have you just painted them in the labyrinth screenshot?
See attached pic.
In case they are objects, are they available somewhere, please?
(Or...maybe they are on your site and I don't find them?)

EDIT: found a thread in N99 - the column should be at Ruthml's Bag of Tricks - I'll have a look tonight after work and hope it is there :-) Great, also a fresco! No horns, though.

Yes, the black pillars are Ruth's.

I used those Horns of Consecration in that photo, but never released them because the z buffers were terrible. They looked okay in that view, but not in any other. At the time it was a bit beyond my skill to futz with them (they are on the edge of the tile and I couldn't figure out how to make it work for all four views). I could probably figure it out these days, but they got put aside and I never got back to them. I would like to finish them some time, though I'm not sure when I'll have a chance.

Found the sets - I had already downloaded some years ago.
In case someone wants them, here is the link to Ruth's YG:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/bag_of_tricks/info

Now that I also have these items for the throne room, I am tempted to rebuild it, too...besides the "Queen's Room"...nowadays plenty of 3D stuff, images of restaurated rooms and objects and floor plans are available.

Thanks for information on the Horns of Consecration!
