A friend wrote to me

As a student of Oklahoma History and emphasis on all Indian cultures in the U.S., may I suggest your emulating another great Indian chief?

Instead of Crazy Horse ... I think you need to consider Sitting Bull for a while!

So here are some not so beautiful pictures of Sitting Ceci - in celebration of the last face scab falling off today! thumbsup
And some beautiful pictures of the area where we were camping.

Most of the bruises & cuts are under my shirt on the left arm & unfortunately, they are all still there!

A few more of the area.

The pool below the fall is 7 meters deep-sorry, don't know the translation for that.

And wish I knew how high the waterfall is, but they never told us that.

ooh ceci, you look very sore darling - look after yourself!!

that's an amazing looking cascade - 7m by the way is about 21 feet. a meter is 3 feet 3inches.

Oh, thank you for the translation. It is pretty deep.
And I want to go back there when I am better. It is so beautiful there.
No horses the next time though! laugh

I felt so sorry when I was talking to you last night. You sounded very small and far away. I wished that I could be there with you to make tea and carry that bucket of hot water we talked about... hug hug hug

Ceci, you're a mess! laugh

I'd say you are darn lucky to be alive, taking the fall from the horse the way you did.

That certainly is a beautiful area.

I'm happy to report that I could read the warning sign - every word of it. Every time I leave Mexico, I despair of ever learning Spanish, but each time I go back, I comprehend a little more. Wish I thought there was a chance of getting there this year.

biggrin A mess, yes, but a blessed to be alive and kicking mess!

laugh And still laughing and enjoying life.

And, Bruja, as well as you do at all things you try, I know your Spanish is good too!

Oh what a set of photos honey. Then the humor of it all is good. Then thinking of how hard headed my giant is, and doing so well. You must have the same good hard head to get over such bumps hug

Hard headed or obstinate mule (like my mommy was), guess they both work.

But I still get dizzy headed and the straight line I started walking ends up with me against a wall or whatever! whistle sad jfade's psycho

Thought it was a med but am off all meds now & it still happens. So it must be the concussion kicking up every so often.

But that too will go away & I'll be back to bouncing around like normal.

I'll have to admit, you look fabulous for the shape you're in. My ex bro-in-law (my middle sister's ex) took a fall and some beanings from a horse and broke his hip before they were married. Well, the beanings were from some mesquite branches right before he fell. Sad to say, the knocks to his head didn't have much effect, cause they didn't knock any sense into him. The doctors ended up having to keep him in a cast past his time so he couldn't get back on the blasted horse before his bones completely healed. Anyways, you look well for what you've been through, and I hope you end up with no significant problems as a result.
