Ever try to follow a tutorial where the author was using a different graphics program that yours? It can be done, but it's certainly easier if you don't have to dig through help files in an effort to figure out what tool you need to use.

Listed here are tool equivalents between the big three graphics programs Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, and Gimp. So far, it's a result of the combined efforts of Raeven, Bruja, Ruthml, and myself. We each supplied what information we could about the programs we use.

But it isn't complete. Nor is it necessarily exact. If you have information that will help us to expand this, please post about it! We'll be updating this as time goes on, so be sure to check back now and then!

These tools may not act exactly the same way in all programs. Some may only be available in certain versions of a program. Some may be assigned a toolbox icon in one program, but may only be accessible through a menu in another. In that case, the path to find it in the menus is listed. If no equivalent tool is available, the closest alternative is suggested in parentheses whenever possible.
