Callooh! Callay! I knew there was a good reason I made backup copies not only of my untouched vanilla .far files, but also copies of the stripped .fars after I spent a day stripping them out. The process of finally loading my heaving and overstuffed Launchpad folder into the game, which would have taken hours to accomplish, will take about ten minutes loadtime. I love it when I outsmart myself. Now, fingers crossed, I can start building my techno-Victorian hodgepodge and stop obsessing over downloads. Yeah, that'll happen.

I had intended to do something for the Traveling Sim Challenge, even going so far as to import Phil into my game. As it turns out, I deleted his head, so he looks completely different. Then it occurred to me...I'm theming his great-grand-dad's era...which has sparked a much better idea. So I'm going through with it, but I'm thinking maybe it won't necessarily be Phil the Fourth after all...

Dearest Matty,

You should be making and maintaining backups of everything for your game, and anything else that's important to you even if it's not Sims related!

Duly noted. I used to be really bad about that, not being at all organized by nature. My rejoicing was motivated purely by having seen it pay off, which is kind of a rush.
