Weckar just offered us a nice (hacked too!) prayable statue of Demeter here at Simblesse http://simblesseoblige.com/viewtopic.php?t=2993

This would be a nice complement to the wonderful (and useful yes ) shrines statues of DkSims hacked to give your sims the skill or personality points corresponding to the Greek god represented. thumbsup
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/dksims
While there, you can also pick the gold statue (money cheat) in the "hacked objects" subfolder...

www.simfreaks.com (pay)

Simfreaks has a gorgeous ancient Greek skin set - heads included. Lovely hairstyles and beautifully detailed greek gowns.

I have about a dozen ancient Egyptian women's skins at Magnolia Sims: http://www.thaliatook.com/MS/egyptianskinsw.html

I also have quite a few Minoan skins and some Minoan objets d'art, wallpaper, floors, and windows:

http://www.thaliatook.com/MS/msminoan.html

I know that's not Roman or Egyptian, but it is from the ancient world.

Although this here post might not offer much real news, I do think I can be of some help. Since I enjoy randomly putting Roman bathhouses and Greek temples into my neighbourhoods I tried out all of the links people have posted in this thread. Since the first posts actually dates from 2006, obviously not all of the sites are still active, so here are the ones that are still accessible. Mind you, I haven't checked whether the downloads were still working on every single site, but most seem to be fine, and otherwise... Well, maybe we can all find some inspiration by looking at the nice pictures ;)

Themed sites:

http://www.bealltool.com/romansims/objects.htm
http://aurisacrafames.sitesled.com/
http://www.rolloadams.com/Romansims.htm

Sites that offer themed objects among others:

http://sims.monis.ch/index.htm
http://www.simjunction.com/
http://www.simsnobs.com/
http://www.simfreaks.com/
http://www.simulacrum.50g.com/
http://www.thaliatook.com/MS/msindex.html

Edit: I forgot to mention that I didn't try out any yahoo groups, mainly because I have no clue how that stuff works xD
