So glad to join this forum, thanks for having me. :)

I am a fanatical downloader and house builder, I don't actually play the game all that much. I rather spend my time creating themed neighbourhoods or trying to build Sims houses from actual house floor plans. I studied architecture so building things from plan has always been a passion of mine.

Happy Simming. :)

welcomeso Quite a lot of people think that building sim houses and other lots is playing the game. Not me - it's the only part of the game that I don't much like, though I wade in and change things when a pretty downloaded lot doesn't work well in the game. To be honest, I don't often load the game except to test things I've made.

Glad to have you with us. You'll find things here that don't exist anywhere else, made for SO staff and members for challenges and because a request triggered an interest from hackers and other creators. enjoy!

Thanks guys, I can't wait to see what's on the forum! I'm like a kid in a candy store. I LOVE creators - I've tried to create a few objects myself but I simply don't have that talent. People just make the most amazing things and pay such attention to detail. You guys rock. hug

Yes, I noticed. :o I'd hoped I could delete my post before anyone noticed, but... rolleyes

I actually posted it as a 'new post' first, had to delete that, and then posted this instead. dry

Nevertheless, Sabal, welcome to Simblesse Oblige, and we're glad to have you.
Even those of us who only play Sims 3 and only come here for the good company... laugh laugh

Sabal, you just might discover that the talent comes when you really, really want to make something specific. And then the tutorials and the "challenges which never end" are there for you when you need them. (Object making has never been my thing, but this past month, I've developed a desire for many, many new fireplaces for a theme game, so I've been reading tutorials and I think I've reached the point where a sprites and z buffers make sense to me. Now the problem is finding the time to practice.)

As karin says, the company here is good, so hanging out and burrowing through all the buried treasure can be a lot of fun.

I've been here a while now, and I have to say this forum is fantastic. So informative and helpful! I am learning so much just reading through the threads. You might even tempt my to try and create a few things of my own! I am a programmer by profession and these tutorials are really starting to make my programming muscles twitch. Anyone know where I can find EDITH?

To the best of my knowledge, despite early promises, EDITH was never released to the public.

Many people, like our beloved genius Raeven http://www.woobsha.com/ have found a way to get things done. peter9g is themac hacking guru. both of them have posted a huge amount of helpful information in our Hacker's Hideout http://www.simblesseoblige.com/viewforum.php?f=6
