Bliss! Our dear KarinL pointed out a Sims 3 world that is a replica of the Sims 1 neighborhoods! Now I have the best of both worlds. I can play my beloved characters in a familiar setting but have all of the enhancements that Sims 3 has brought regarding changing colours of almost anything with a click, walking from lot to lot and so on.
Recognize 21 Gunther Goth Highway - Appletree Farm with the Burb house in the background? Sigh! I am replete! And Thanks to Ctnutmegger for creating it.

Oh dear. You just reminded me that the last time I played one of my less, uh, savory characters decided to go and collect some headstones and when I went back to Tiffany and Brad's there was poor orphaned Johnny all alone. I think he's going to have to go through a bad emo phase where he acts out and wears black eyeliner to mourn his parents...

Cool neighborhood, though!

Heh.

Naw, this is a good title (if we were going literal, the best title would be "Recreating the Sims 1 in the Sims 3"--but we aren't going totally literal).

I wish I could add this in my game, but it's fussy and won't accept anything special in there (I might be doing it wrong, but I can get no CC to work).

The really point to me is i cant install games like Sims 3 into my pc right now, becuase i get reduced to only 2gb ram now, thats the main reason i prefeer to use games like The Sims 1 and some other that do not use so much memory.

I have 6 GB of RAM memory and 1 TB HD, i5, NvIdia and nothing more intalled on my computer, and The Sims 3 is full of bugs, it's annoying, some Saves are corrupt and catching every second , is an amazing game ... and very poorly done...

I downloaded the neighborhood! !!
WOW! notworthy
It is so well done, whoever did it is really very talented.
Too bad it does not have the families too!
But anyway, it's pretty cool.
I know someone did a Sims 1 neighborhood to Sims 2, does anyone know where I can find?

My download problem might stem to a problem with a specific file, but I don't run Sims 3 most of the time unless I'm advancing my permakid, partly because my computer hisses like it's a cat whose trust I've crossed... (To say it simply, my computer slows and the fan turns on LOUD)

If you go to TSR, Frisbud made most of the Sims 1 families. I use hers.

Loving Sims 1 in Sims 3! Bella met Claire Darling in the park.
Frankie Mashuga was there too, kicking a ball around. Not sure how he got so thin. Lots of athletics I suppose. I'm playing the Goths but it it's interesting to see what's happening with the other families. The Story Progression mod just told me that Mama Hick got a job at the Diner. Isn't that perfect?

Simbil has some original familes as well on his EA account, and I have all the 'downloadables' - Hatfield, Snooty Patooty, Valentino, Jones and Maximus - on mine.

I like Frisbud's. And I want to re-do my own houses that I did for this world (including the Burb house) with spiral staircases. When I made the houses, GEN wasn't out yet so we didn't have spiral stairs.
