Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but there has been happening with my computer a weird issue, firstly with N99 but now here and I need to ask someone about it:

whenever I go to Photobucket to take a look around, when I flick back to the Forum page the text has vanished and all I get is lines. The page format itself is OK but everything else is gone. Refreshing does nothing, I have to log out and go back in again and all is well. I thought it was just something to do with N99 but just now the same thing happened here.

CTO was fine but if two other websites are going the same way, I am interested to find out why.

I have Windows XP and a 7 year old Dell with lots of memory etc.

I dislike Photobucket intensely: if I was President, I would pass a law that everyone had to use Picassa lol!

As someone who also hates photobucket, I can sympathize.

What web browser do you use? It sounds like your web browser is not correctly managing memory.

(This COULD point to some larger issues but let's not get too worried too quickly!)

Ooer, dont alarm me: my computer will also suddenly go blank for a microsecond on occasion and then come back good as gold. THAT is scarey. The other day it shut down completely and I got a blue screen full of all sorts of interesting instructions I didnt understand like i.e. Contact your Provider or words to that effect. I screamed, turned it off at the wall, counted to 25 and prayed, then turned it back on again. All was well. It has never before or since done that!!

I use Internet Explorer, prob some ancient version and Google Chrome (which is now sending me a yellow warning strip about not updating shortly at all for XP, Vista etc. ) Sigh, I do NOT want to get a new computer because I cannot face the drama of switching to Windows 7 or 8 to get the Sims to work, which will be a bit embarassing to explain to the sales people as I am in the Veteran category for most thing s and should nknow better to sit on my butt and play games all day!!

If you need to buy a new computer just say you're concerned about running legacy applications designed for windows XP.

You can read this to try updating your browser. I used Opera for years and now I use Vivaldi (which is in beta) and is basically the old opera dev team angry at the new Opera people.

Chrome likes to use a lot of memory which could cause various issues.

I'll see if I can find comprehensive instructions to finding the minidump file. If you can send that to me I can look and see what caused your BSOD.
