Hello!

I'm RHY3756547, or Rhys, and I have been working on FreeSO (TSO engine re-implementation) for the past year and the Volcanic IDE for the past few months. Volcanic is a full featured all-in-one Object Editor/Debugger for the SimAntics environment, and features editing most chunk resources including DGRP, SPR2, BHAV, OBJD, STR#... and saving to a custom "PIFF" format (patch iff) that allows distribution of changes to objects without modifying the original or having to distribute copyrighted material.

I'm looking for people to participate in my evaluation of the software. The software itself is my 4th year academic project for this year, so the evaluation is simply a part of that process, however I will still be working on the IDE past the deadline (since it's my baby, and TSO is great), so any feedback will be noted and incorporated!

I'm offering the FreeSO community custom event objects for participating, but I don't suppose those are worth much to you guys. :P ...but I don't have any Object Developers on my forums, so the current evaluation results would be somewhat lacking! I'd love it if people with deep experience with SimAntics could try out some of the tougher tasks and try to get some interesting modifications going!

Check out the evaluation here:
http://forum.freeso.org/threads/volcanic-ide-user-evaluation.1094/

The deadline is the 15th of March, which only leaves you with a week (!) but the tasks are not that complicated. If necessary, I can delay for a few days. The 5th task, creating a new object, is unfortunately not ready yet, though the others should give you a taste of the program function!

Eventually, I plan to backport both the FreeSO engine and the IDE to TS1, so that an open source version of The Sims at least exists. Maybe we can even implement some enhancements! We'll see. I've always loved TS1's modding community, and am hoping this breathes some life back into it!

All objects created as .iff should be code compatible with the original game.

I can help out but I have always had issues getting TSO to install correctly. I have some time off from work early next week if you can give it until the 18th or so.
