I tried something to see if it would work and it did. clap

First I got rid of the flowers for a clean ledge, and then did a Hue/Saturation reduction then fiddled with the Brightness/Contrast to get a whiteish copy, then I moved it up a couple of pixels on top of the colored one, and started cutting away where I thought snow would have melted or not stuck. Added some lumps where the flowers were, and you see the result. I'm pretty happy with it. yes

thanks for explaining how you did it Mtaman. Here's me thinking you chopped up some snow from the winter version of the Maxis Vacation stone wall and instead you did something much more sohisticated and refined! i find recolouring to white difficult, so appreciate the info very much.

What a gorgeous window!!! wave I'm currently making some elves & dwarfs for my hood and it will be perfect for their little cottage!

Thanks Mad & Hedda for finding the sprites and making it. dance And thanks, Clark, for the snowy version. You guys are great!

Mad, how about you rack that ol' brain of yours and try to remember what other unused sprites you found. I'm curious now as to what else Maxis started to make but never finished. biggrin

blush Hi Chris ! ( I am so happy to see you on the net again...)

Well, I think there is an livingroom chair in the first bunch of chairs but it is all distorted in the colour palette and I don't think it can be used.

The carportals and such has also some graphics (!) and one is an endtable that matches the coffetable 10W-40 ( iron type and wood).
That one has been done and one is available at TSR.
(DaniCast at SimsFever made a whole set of tables and a chair to go with it in that look.)

There is also an single tile table sprite that is the same look as Colonial Legacy Diningtable 2x2 somewhere, could be used as an single tile dining table or shrunk to endtable.

The Counters.iff file from basic Sims also have an distorted graphic that should have been for a cheap bathroom counter.

There is also a 3 tiled Desk in the desks3.iff file in yellow paint ( Pinegulcher) and with steel top that I think someone has used also. HD desk file.

... and back to the windows... working on a door too and 4 different sized
matching windows for the Swiss ...

Hugs Susanne

Hi Mad! Good to see you too! biggrin Yep, I'm back online again much more than I was but still not as often as I'd like to. The mind wants to but the body sometimes doesn't want to play ball. sad

Wow, you certainly did rack your brain, remembering those spare sprites!!

But it doesn't sound like many of them would be of much use, except maybe the ones that have already been found and made. I wonder why the Maxis object makers left them in? But I suppose back in those early days they never dreamed that we players would eventually have programs that would allow us to snoop into all their hidden files. laugh

Now I am much more interested in the matching door and other windows you're making for the Swiss window. dance I will be the first to download that door for my elves' cottage!
