I would love to start a thread of links to props: hats, scarves, bags, glasses, flowers, swords, whatever!

Where possible it would be highly useful to note whether the skinner permits distribution of their meshes.

Maru: hair flowers, flower broches, caps. Distribution allowed.

Sim Accents: this is the motherlode! Scarves, hand bags, fans, glasses, hats, jewellry, flowers for hair and corsage, gifts held in the hand. Distribution and editing permitted.

If I think of more I'll post them - I know there is a site with flower wreaths for the head.

With Skin Doctor http://theblarneystone.org/ Programs/Sims1 Program and FAR Out http://www.simwardrobe.com/ Sims1/Programs you can extract many props from the game itself.

Uh... Yeah! I don't know what I'd do without SimAccents; they have so many wonderful things it's hard to know where to start!

Found another site with props:
Squeezy on a Soapbox
http://members.iinet.net.au/~foxtonblakes/soapbox/index2.htm

Props can be distributed. They include microphone, skateboard, hands, single bladed axe, double bladed axe & surfboard.

AllSkins for The Sims has a page of prop meshes.
http://allskins.stormway.ru/mesh_props_eng.html

These include a flower attachment for the head, hats, hairbands, flower wreaths, necklace. I'm a little confused, the maker has a general "don't edit or distribute my skins at all" policy, yet all the props offered for download are the skin & UV map only. So you have to edit the prop to be able to use it, even for just your own game. the maker is Russian, I left a message in the guestbook asking about permission.

one peeve I have about allskins.ru is that the creator renames meshes and uses mesh numbers that copy default maxis meshes. it's a horror to deal with.

Wow, everyone, this is great! I already knew about Sim Accents, but not the others.

I have some props that I've made and all of this talk has made me think about making them available to everyone. I mean, I've never had any problem with anyone asking to use them, I've just never had them a separate download! I'll get on that soon and post about it when it's done. smile:

http://www.mikynet.it/milkysims/index.htm

A cute beanie style knitted cap
A collar (not too sure about this - it looks like a wide belt/corset rather than a collar.
and something called a "piuma". ? cigar?? perhaps someone could translate :0

SimSherry has props (plus Simpose poses)

http://home.comcast.net/~simsherry/index.html

Mostly spectales and sunglasses, but also a pipe in the mouth, earrings, and a cople of Maxis hats - Miss Crumplebottom's pillbox hat and the Vacation director cap. Plus there's some fairy wings.
