This was one of my favourites and I had it on my computer desktop forever. Henry VIII took Anne Boleyn out on a date and decided to tear it up on Mtaman's Troubador stage. Oddly enough, Anne wsn't interested and is no where to be seen. Everyone else liked him.
You can see a mix of Tudor and medieval costumes as those two themes share this neighborhood. Seems to work okay.

This is probably my favourite screenshot ever: Sir John and Lady Alys Pym dancing, courtesy of the dance mirror from Cheapfrills.

When I discovered the knot garden sets, I had to try them out, and this one was the first result, which I put in my Harry Potter neighborhood. They really are fun to work with - we can fit them together in all sorts of ways to give different effects. If anyone's interested in trying them out -

Green set available at Alle Meine Sims http://www.alle-meine-sims.de/
Set with colors can be found at http://sas.planetthesims.gamespy.com/ from Bunny Wuffles
And another set that supplies a couple of slightly different shapes at http://www.marinasims.net/sims1/sims1.html

By the way, the floor used was made by our very own Kim, a match for the Reichenstein stone wall. Something so basic, and yet so useful - one of the most used floors in my game.

Lovely set, Marci. That mosque is gorgeous! I'm curious about the blanket with the canopy over it. Is that something like a beach blanket object? Or did you just place a canopy over a rug? Really looks good.

Thanks for the compliments. smile:

I've never really looked into what periods a knot garden would be appropriate for. Anyone know when they first came into use? With my own Sims, I'm not above fudging things that look good, even if I'm not sure whether it's historically accurate or not.

annettebrks asked to see some treehouse pics. Here are a few of my best lot: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vthecat/album?.dir=e9e5re2
If some of it looks familar, I think this lot started as one of Persimmon Grove's landscaped lots.
Sorry it took so long - my game crashed and I had to reinstall.

What a cute idea! I love it! Is it a residence or a vacation lot?

annettebrks, I'm sorry I missed that question about the Mosque lot. The thing you were asking about is two rug objects overlapping. There's a regular rug on the floor and then the awning thing is a little picnic marquee from Illustrated Sim

I really enjoyed looking through that album - thank you for posting it. You put that lot together so well! I recognize some of my favorites from Persimmon Grove there, like the rock wall. And that is one fabulous log staircase - is that Wood 4 Sims? It just looks like something they'd make. The rope bridge is a really authentic touch. Is that one of those things put together from floor tiles and fencing? Everything on that lot just goes together so well. And it's definitely given me some ideas for the next time I do a treehouse lot.

Mars - thanks! And don't worry, it's easy to miss a line or even a whole post sometimes - heck, we all do at times.

Thank you for your kind comments.
17Mars, it's residential (lot 2).
annettebrks, the staircase is from Wood For Sims. The Lot pretty much is Wood For Sims and Persimmon Grove. The bridge is from 8DS. The only time I've ever used it.
