Kind of you to say so, Firebird.

Most of them were made because I needed something that I couldn't find (like the kilt type swim wear for men), or because I just plain fell in love with a mesh.

I'm trying to find a little time to start going through my hundreds of "almost done" skins. For a long time, I seemed to have trouble seeing the skins clearly. Turned out, I was actually having trouble seeing the skins clearly. laugh Now it have new glasses just for computer work. smile

Hi everyone!

My name is Jessica. I'm 22 so it's fare to say I grew up with The Sims (1, 2 and 3 :P). I'm from Montreal, Canada. (Oh and, by the way, I apologize already from my mistakes, I speak French!)

I missed Sims 1 but ran into some technical problems. After looking through all the web, I found this forum and it seemed pretty active still.

Hi Jessica,

Welcome to SO, from another Canadian. hi1

Many of us who were even more active here 5 years ago don't have as much time as we used to, but a lot of us still check in regularly. This is still a pretty good place to get help with problems or ideas, since there are very few topics we haven't covered, and somebody can usually provide information or a link.

Hey everyone, I thought it would be fun to introduce myself properly.

My name is Juliana, I am 22 years old. Brazilian. I am a stay-at-home mom of a cute and energic 1 year and 9 months old boy. I got married when I was 18. My passion for The Sims started when I got my first PC when I was 10 years old, it was around 2002. My first game was The Sims and I fell deeply in love with it and this love remains till now. It`s funny how The Sims can be like a part of you.
I had a neighbour who had tons of downloads for the game, and she even got a website for showing her decoration in The Sims. She taught me a lot about it and I turned into a download maniac thanks to her. *rolls eyes* - THANK YOU -

I played The sims 2 and 3 and a little bit of 4, but the first one is my eternal love. I can even do the simlish talking from the male and kids lines. HAHA laugh

I`m gonna finally take courage to learn how to make custom stuff for The Sims!!!

I find this forum incredible and I hope it lasts FOREVER. blush

I'm really, really bad at doing introductions on forums but, hey ...

I'm a middle aged woman who is just getting back into Sims 1 after a very long hiatus. Naturally, because I'm a packrat, this has necessitated a whole lot of downloading (which is somewhat more difficult these days than it was when I last played, what with 3 later version of Sims out there now). I'm also a ridiculously massive Harry Potter fan so there's been a focus to my collecting ...

And that's actually what brings me here. Years ago, 17Mars posted 'a complete neighborhood that has had all of the Townies, Somebodies, Anybodies, Vacation families etc renamed after minor Harry Potter characters' and I've now actually downloaded the file. Yay!

What I'd really like, if anyone's done one, is a Harry Potter custom map ...

*grin* Thanks! And thanks for the welcome! I rather wondered if I'd walked through an open front door and was going to find myself in the Sim equivalent of the Shrieking Shack - the most haunted house in England. It's nice to know that there are still people around.

Since I've got you, I don't suppose you know if the free Object ID programme is anywhere about do you? There's a very old thread which suggests that the file was put in the staff area for safe keeping. I've definitely got a conflict and it's causing me all manner of pain and anguish.

Was that before or after you were logged in? whistle
Have you found it? Just don't know of which one you are talking.

Reguarding the "Shrieking Shack":
There is still life in this old house - don't be scared if you meet someone *g*

There's lots of useful information here, much to read and see.
In case you have questions, just open a thread, or bump up an old thread, and then a little bit of patience smile

Sappho, I have the Object ID program I will try to pm it to you, but it's an .exe file and you might not be able to receive it.

Welcome to SO! smile

Hello there! I'm late to the forum game!

I'm CherryDoodles, or Kate IRL, and I'm from the UK. I've been playing the Sims since 2000 and skinning for the last six years or so.

I have a small site at https://sites.google.com/site/electrosimsproject/home, however due to hosting issues, I'm in the process of transferring everything to a weebly site instead, needless to say, with new content.

I make kitschy skins and skins based on outfits from film and TV and other popular culture. Sex and the City has been a treasure trove!

I'm also open to suggestions and helping people who want to make a certain bits and pieces come true!

Every time a Sims 1 site shuts down, it makes baby Jeebus cry. angel
