what's the skin you need Yersinia? we might be able to help out

A hazmat suit. I posted asking for a link to one, if it even exists, in Sims Sleuths about a week ago, no one has found one yet. I also posted for it at TSR, no one there knows if there are any either.

Thanks,

hmm - those white suits with the masks right? Not something I have seen either. And if you can't find it at TSR then /shrug.

But perhaps we could patch a rough one together for you - would the astronaut suit be a good starting point? with the flag etc whited over. What should the head look like? beekeeper's head?

My request in the Sims Sleuths forum contains links to actual pictures of them so people would be able to see what hazmat suits look like. As you know, I'm not overly knowledgeable in the ways of creators, so if this idea sounds totally outrageous, that's why (and please forgive me)! laugh

In comparing the pictures of various hazmat suits in my Sims Sleuths request -- given the choice of the astronaut suit or the beekeeper outfit, I think the beekeeper outfit is much, much closer to the mark.

(wow, this is actually possible?!?!? Somebody might make me one?!)

Ok, I finally have Phil's story done! Phil has gone back in time to the Roman empire.

I got my hotel desk to work - so no, it's not possible to have 2 clerks at once, that's just me using the move cheat for the story. biggrin

read the story here: (15pics) http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=16366855&uid=3971710&members=1

Oh, that was fun!! I just looked at all the stories and now I want to do one, too... :)

Ruth, I didn't know there were so many neat Roman items around. Your desk looks fantastic, and so do your receptionists.
I might move on to ancient Rome (or is that move back to ancient Rome?) when I get tired of my current 'hood... :)

Karin

Edited to reflect what I meant to say - it wasn't actually meant to be a WCIF, just a general sort of 'gosh, where *do* you find all this stuff' (hmm it *does* look different on the page than it sounds in my head...)

Sorry about that, I edited my post. Although I love this desk and especially the NPC's, I was not particularly looking to download it for myself. Yet. :)

Yes, I know what you mean. That's a hard act to follow. :) I'm working on a journey for Phil now. He's visiting his old college roommate Mortimer Goth...

All my houses are still pretty bare, though, I think I'll need to have some of my Sims receive a big inheritance from their late Auntie Rosebud. :)

thanks everyone!! You have no idea the trouble that lot caused me rolleyes It was a lot I already had in my roman hood. But I had lost the massage table so I had to find that again and make a skin for the masseuse to replace the maxis ones. Then I couldn't find an "ancient" looking hotel desk so I made one and went through all that trouble with getting it to work etc. Then I had to change the Vacation NPCs with NPC replacer - the "big man" is that stupid shark! Somehow the maid didn't change her skin properly so I had to be careful not to have her in the shots. then I made a whole bunch of period style bathing costumes etc so everyone would look in period but I discovered that you can't edit sims in Sim Wardrobe if they are on a vacation lot (both Phil and the others) so that's why there's no screenshots of Phil mixing with all the other guests! Many times I had to make Phil change clothes back into his toga because he was wandering around in his pink swimming trunks. As for Phil's house, well that was just dropped on him and a couple of rooms quickly furnished.

But I sound like I am grumbling, but no, it was fun to get my roman hood working again. The desk is not ready for release but eventually will be.

OMG Ruth! Well, at least I'm lucky in that I finally have all the objects I need for my destination -- the hazmat suit turned up just now in both the create-a-sim screen and the wardrobe, YAY!! -- I just hope mine comes out the way I intend it to, although I must say that so far -- as much as I really loved Phil's trips to Egypt and Montana -- yours is going to be the toughest act to follow!

~Yersinia<----off to try to get filenames for and remove a couple of bad skins first....

That sounds like a lot of work. But it all looks so great - I think I'll go hunt for Roman stuff and download it to save - just in case... laugh I have no plans for anything Roman, but better safe than sorry, right. LOL!!

I didn't do much extra work for Phil's journey. I had him visit his old college roommate Mortimer Goth, and the Goth family showed him around old town a bit. Oh, and he did get slightly hurt, but he doesn't remember it himself and Bella fixed him up good as new... So I hope that's not a problem...

I discovered that I really love making picture albums for Sims. Might have to upgrade my Webshots if I keep going like this... LOL!!

Here's my album:
