Hi everyone,

Here is a new base offered here at Simblesse Oblige. It's a 2 rotation single bed base that will make bed making a lot easier and faster. The pillow now is no longer on a separate sprite but is now just part of the bed graphic.

While the bed looks like the cheap bed base (desaturated) the comfort and energy levels have been hacked up so it is more like a moderate bed. The bed is also visitor enabled for residential lots.

I should also explain for the benefit of beginners who have not made a bed before (LOL, that didn't sound quite right did it?) that the bed has 3 different graphic states - made (like you see in the picture), messy (unmade and ready) and sleeping. It repeats the graphics for unmade & ready. I don't quite know what the difference is - unmade is obvious - they get out of bed and don't make it - but ready? I think it is the tiny moment when they push back the sheet before jumping into bed.

So, you still have to do 3 separate graphics to cover these states, but as it's 2 rotation not 4 rotation it is not so over whelming.

Y'know, I should do a base using another maxis bed - like a wooden one, so recolorists have more than 1 choice of bed.

Thanks for the explanation...I knew it but maybe other peops didn't....
Haven't had a chance to look at it though...I think I forgot to put it in the game...But recoloring is very difficult...so I will just pratice on little things...And then who knows..

Here is a new 2 rotation bed base. The bed frame is a modified version of the child's bed and has the same comfort & energy levels as the other base. On advice I've received instead of desaturating it, I kept the colours for the cover, sheets and pillow distinct. The pillow is part of the bed graphics - it's not separate.

Thanks so much, Ruth. I always shy off from cloning that bed (on the rare occasions that I dare to make a bed) because of the stupid footboard and the loud patterns. Now I don't have that problem!

I've made two more 2 rotation beds. As you can see, one is the sleigh bed and the other bed is a variation of the sleigh bed.
