I've noticed that Grim Sims has apparently not renewed their domain name. Does anyone know if they're gone for good?

Yes, they are gone.

I got everything I hadn't downloaded yet at N99 last month, and spent so much time sorting those files and tinkering with them (to make sure the blood warmer only poured blood but the coffee maker still poured coffee - and such - basically making animations for the drinks) and Mac-fixing the skins, that I'm tired of spooky now - and it's almost Halloween, how sad!! :)

You have to read through the thread to check. If you find a good source not listed, provide the link, please. and if it's a pay site, make a note of that in your post.

Tojah and Camilla's Mystical Magical Sims theme is not at all "spooky" but it does have lots of witchiness and dark wood making it pretty useful for a spooky lot
http://www.nighttimesims.no/tc1/themes/MM/index.html

Tojah and Camilla do have some ghost and vampire skins in the Themes > Supernatural section of the main site though
http://www.nighttimesims.no/tc1/

DSCali's Wuthering Heights Cemetery set and animated ghosts at SSoW

To answer your question - the Domain name was not the issue (I still have it) ...

We had lightning hit the pole outside our house, totally frying the transformer (I saw the huge blue flash explosion and heard a loud BANG dry )
... which blew out the cable, phone and computer - poof. Nothing worked again after that even though I had a surge protector plug. I guess those don't cover you on a direct hit ...

Anyway ...... right around that same time frame, my host/server was trying to contact me for "payment due" on the webhosting - but since I was offline for a few months I never knew. Needless to say they pulled the 'ol plug on me.

By the time I got back online again and discovered this, they had deleted ALL the files that were uploaded onto the site. They apologised ... but jeeez - all that work to start ALL over again. Every pic, every zip, every page. Ugh. Nyeh.

Very discouraging indeed.

.. so Saving the Sims helped Dominia out and made Yahoogroups for her stuff!!!

Dominia , I do understand that starting over with a site that size is overwhelming !!!

I hope you have fun with whatever you want to do instead !!!
Thanks for all the fantastic objects you have made for Sims 1 !!!

Susanne
