Is it the call "not slot zero exclusive" that would make a sim able to prepare food on top of the new trapdoor sink? thanks in advance

No, that is a line inside of the object that is going to be placed onto a surface, rather than the surface itself.
It means that the object can go into container slot 1, 2, 3 etc instead of Slot 0 (which tends to be in the center of the tile)

They look GREAT!

(Being nosy here) What, exactly, is the trap door sink meant to do?

nothing much more exciting than any old sink sleep . I started out just happy I had a sink that could go on an appliance, then I put a grinder noise on it, then I disabled the wash hands function so the sims wouldn't grind off their fingers, then I started thinking I would like it if it were under a trapdoor so the sims could prepare food on top of it. So its just finding a way tomake the sink share the prep surface. explode

Ditto, but I would have used "ingeniosity" instead of "ingenuity"... wink
Had to check the latter word in the dictionary. blush Also discovered the word "Ingenuousness" existed..

I'm not really sure if this helpes but when I want to add a sink or such to a dishwasher or surface I add the invisible counter for appartments from simlogical. You will need to download the controllers but it's worth it. Here is the link to the page it's on:
http://www.simlogical.com/sl/downloadpages/apart_surface.htm
And the controller is on:
http://www.simlogical.com/sl/downloadpages/apartments.htm

Hope this helps.

I am trying to take off the "must be placed on counter" restriction off of a pedestal sink. I have tried a few things in IFF pencil, but it is just hacking around in the dark.

Is it the height flags? :dontgetit

want to:
put the cheap sink on top of a dishwasher or a trash compactor

Hi
There are many sites available from which you can get the sink in cheapest price.

Perhaps a dishwasher hacked to go anywhere would help?

No but I could probably whip one up.

I thought Inge had a hob at Simlogical but I guess not...

There was one at C&C. (Of course, C&C is of questionable safety, but it *is* on CTO, I think. (I also have a copy on my computer, I think. I can see if it's there, though probably not until tomorrow, since I'm preparing for bed.))

Mhari worked on an "anywhere" stove that may have been rug based. The project failed in the end as I recall (though the thread seems to indicate otherwise), but the thread may have some information that will be useful for your project
