Tis the season for children to dress up and we here at Simblesse Oblige have an amazing treat for your sim kids: the Simblesse Oblige Kiddy Costume Party Doors.

Our hackers have built 2 doors that, thanks to our knowledgeable friend Peter at Atelier Quebec and his Custom Costume Hack, will allow your sim kids to randomly change into a costume, and not just the meager two supplied by Maxis, but an additional 13 other outfits as well. The SO Kiddy Costume Party Pack (3-15) provides a wide selection of costumes which feature props from our generous friends at Bag of Tricks 2, Comhair, Maru, Sim Accents, Simbolix, Simbrujaja, and Simslice.
Please visit their sites for many more wonderful objects and skins.

To get the costume changing effect you must have House Party, Double Deluxe, or Complete Collection installed plus the additional costumes from the SO Kiddy Costume Party Pack (3-15), otherwise you'll just have decorated doors. The additional costumes in the SO Kiddy Costume Party Pack (3-15) should be placed loose into the ExpansionPack2/Skins folder where the Maxis costume trunk outfits are.

Playable versions of the SO Kiddy Costume Party Pack (3-15) will be available at Simbrujaja.

The SO Kiddy Costume Part Pack(3-15) is a huge zip with 120 files. If you can't get it to download, PM one of the mods and we'll break it down into smaller zips for you.

The Maxis costume trunk currently will only recognise 2 children outfits for each category and so these costumes will not show up using the trunk.

Thanks Clark.

I haven't used the costume trunk since HD was the latest XP but... only two childrens' outfits available now for each category???!!!

Are you saying that all the other costurmes in that skins folder don't show up now? I counted for both girls and boys, two each of cow. disco, luau, nice, rave. swim and toga. I know that some of those outfits now show up amongst the regular everyday wear but not all of them do.

I will never understand Maxis' logic.

Yep, Maxis has only 2 outfits for the costume category, 2 for toga, 2 for dicso, 2 for luau, etc. for the kids; while adults have 10 for each one. Maxis did make some of these skins available as playable skins with Deluxe, so you will see them with CC also.

Oh, I'm a dill. *doh*

When you said, "The Maxis costume trunk currently will only recognise 2 children outfits for each category", I read that as will only recognise two outfits altogether. Somehow it didn't sink in that you said for each category.

Sometimes, I think I need a brain transplant...
