laugh Driven by insomnia, I decided to try this challenge.

Know that I am not an object maker. In fact, I had to follow the basic TMog tutorial step by step, and retexturing this single object took me 4 hours.

If I've done something wrong, will somebody please tell me quickly!

Everyone's trees are fantastic!! thumbsup

I did one, too - but only the P-sprites. I was having so much fun playing around that I sort of 'forgot' about A's and Z's. :)
So since it isn't useable 'as-is' anyway, I didn't bother doing the smaller sizes either. :)
I did do a front and back, though. :)

I still wanted to share it with you, though - just to show that I *am* making progress with this Gimp thingy...laugh

So here it is: The Little Shop of Horrors version of the X-mas tree... Too bad that on this small scale you can't see that the ornaments are actually little eyballs, bats and spiders... :(

ok here is my little tree. (First try at sending attachments here so I hope this works.) I was aiming for a sort of dark, Goth look.

Oh, I wish - but I'm on a Mac, and I'm not sure how to deal with Z and A buffers in The Gimp - which is the only graphics program I have at the moment...

I realised when I was on the last sprite that having the Raven at the top meant I'd have to deal with Z-buffers, so I decided that I might as well totally mess things up with the 'presents' underneath the tree... :D

Do you think it would be possible to use T-mog to create the buffers?

rilca, I agree with Ruth, that's a lovely colour! I tried different colours.

OT: I was inspired by a lovely Gothic tree in a shop near here; but I can't draw it. It has ostrich feathers (black and purple) sticking out of it like claws and a chandelier hanging on it. It's about 7feet tall RL. I can't do Z buffers so I won't attempt it here but I spose it has had some influence.

(Our real tree this year is simple - one of those fibre optic ones that shades red, purple, blue, gold and some gold and red baubles. Looks good - nicest tree we have had for years - maybe throwing away all our old Christmas decorations was a good thing after all!)

Please have any additional trees in by this evening (Friday) so that they can be added to the trim-a-tree kit!
