Hello!

I had a weekend at home so I re-opened Sims Levittown...

The dirt producing doorways (and vacuum cleaner) are FINALLY up on the site (some of you have been waiting patiently since LAST SUMMER).
They are still beta, so please let me know right away if you have any problems. They seem fine, though.

Also some items for the not-so-tidy household. We are into realism this weekend at Sims Levittown.

Have a wonderful evening,
Mike V. smile

Does the mud stick to the sim kid's feet and they track it in or does it not? Just curious. Thank you. smile

Is there a way to make it stick to their feet and unicorn hooves so they will track in it or should I ask in the hacking forum if it's ok with you?

Yippee!! I've been hanging for this object. Thank you for releasing it.

Rainbow, I think the dirt appears when a sim walks through a certain door - it's all to do with the door. possibly the more times a sim goes through the door the more dirt will appear - unless it's kept in check by vacuuming it up.

RUth is right, Rainbow (don't know where I got the name Snowflake... Sorry! Senior Moment...) blush The "dirt" is a modified maxis floodmaster linked to the door. If you are good in Tmog and photoshop, you might be able to make little footprints- you are certainly welcome to try -sounds wonderful and fun. If you come up with a winner please share it with me. smile

I'm not sure how to make little footpints at all and it does sound fun. Can anyone do that? Just asking and Princess Snowflake is my pony name.

Here is a pic of the vacuum cleaner in action.

I love brad's expression don't you??

Now I discovered though there is no cmx file included in the zip. I have contacted Mike about this, but if you can make your own, then it needs to renamed suit-electricbroom and then you must open up the cmx file and inside on the 5th line (where it will say "electricbroom" you change that also to say suit-electricbroom.

I love his expression also. Can anyone make little footprints that will stay on the floor unable to be vaccumed up?

I so needed messy things for one of my families.

Are they "intersectable", in other words can the sims walk over the messes? Can they place things atop the counter items?

In the past, I've placed a lot of objects in the "messy house" only to find that the sims can't get around or to things (even though my sims are so messy that they shouldn't care if they walk over their stuff!)

I've also cluttered up the counters and tables, only to find there was no room to cook or eat.

Mike, you are simply amazing! notworthy

I know it has been absolutely ages since we spoke, so although I know you have stopped work on the site, I still need to congratulate you on it, and the wonderful job you have made in not only making new and unique objects, but also for giving this Brit an insight into the Levittown properties and their delights.

Many, many congratulations and best wishes! notworthy thumbsup

to make it easy for anyone who is not familiar with making cmx files, Here is the missing cmx file that you need for the vacuum cleaner.
