Many of you Sims who bought the Minstrel Figurine Collection wanted to play a lute for yourself. With the release of the Institute of Minstrel Instruction Illuminating Lute and stand, now you can. In this age of ever-increasing creativity, music that Sims make themselves offers the perfect skill learning activity. Thrill the crowds as you show your skills away from home too, with the new concert option. Updated with new lute music!

Sims who have both the lute and a figurine can summon a minstrel to come to the house and be shown the proper way to use the instrument with an impromptu concert.

If you were one of the lucky few to have the prototype, please download and use this new version as it has some updated and new features.

Hacked by mtaman with help from Hedda@http://www.somesimthings.com to allow non-home playing.
Requires LL or Deluxe.

Oh my, Mtaman!

You mean the lute I already had of yours (and still have) -- the one I had to fix to hear the music on my Mac -- is only a prototype?

Since minstrels don't fit my theme (though they're beautiful) -- do the changes to this new version do anything different than the lute I already have (meaning I should really download this one and replace the old one), or are the changes just to accomodate the minstrels?

Thanks!

~Yersinia.

There were several prototypes:
1. Original Guitar was changed to a lute
2. Custom Lute music added
3. Hacked to allow non-home lot playing
4. Custom music identification number changed so as to not conflict with other custom music object makers following Freakewolfe's tutorial
5. Hacked to accomodate the minstrels

If you use this newest version #5, you will not notice any difference between it and the one you already had #4, unless you have the minstrels as well.

jump Hurray! I don't ever use the Maxis guitar, but I DO use BNJ's violin. I'm so glad to have another classical instrument, one perfect for my medieval Sims, AND still get to keep the violin! Thank you!

OK, cool, thanks for letting me know, mtaman. The lute of yours which I already have is just fine. It plays both at home and on the Old Town community lot I have it on. Thank you ever so much!

~Yersinia.
