Some skinners have asked for a thread to post information, pictures, and links for theme skin making.

General information goes in this thread. We'll start a separate thread for specific themes, with links to those (non-stickied) threads in this thread.

General History of Clothing and Textiles

Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_clothing_and_textiles

Zeroland: Textiles: http://www.zeroland.co.nz/textiles.html

Zeroland: Costume: http://www.zeroland.co.nz/costume.html

Multnomen County Library: http://www.multcolib.org/homework/costumhc.html

The Costume Page: http://www.costumepage.org/tcpinfo2.html

Has pages for most periods of historical costume. Heavy on print, very few pictures.

I'm hoping that as skinners find meshes that work well for a theme, we will add that information, with a link to the site where the mesh can be found, in individual theme threads.
