Almost all of the cloned dining podiums I downloaded have the same problem:the Maître d' and the waitress "fight" over who gets to stand behind the podium. It doesn't really mess up any game play except after the Maître d' shows my Sim to their seat,he won't move. The same thing happens after the waitress brings the food. They just stand there beside the table blocking traffic. They still do their jobs when needed, but in their downtime, they won't go back to the podium.
I also have the problem of some podiums not feeding singles and some not feeding singles. My Sims will always get their first course, but when it comes to the second course, nothing happens. The Sims just sit there all day waiting and I finally have to cancel the action. Nothing is blocking the way of the busboy or sink and it isn't because of an improper fridge or stove. |

it's been a long standing problem with cloned dining podiums that they usually don't work the same as the originals because they work in conjuction with a controller that affects all of downtown. you can read about it and download a patch at Wilf's Sims Stuff

Thanks for the help. I already have the patch from Wilf's and it does help with some of my podiums, but not all. (But then again that was said in the description.) I didn't know about the downtown controller issue, though,so I guess that's my problem. |
