Simblesse Oblige Tutorials
Grocery Delivery NPC
Available in two versions, one with several screenshots included and one without screenshots (for slower connections)
This tutorial teaches phone plugins, working with an NPC related object (and how to ensure they all work together properly by adjusting the GUIDs), takes a good look at editing dialog boxes (pop up messages) and edits the Makin' Magic delivery box. (Uses IffPencil for tutorial)
Using NPC Replacer to create themed NPCs
This tutorial, an alternative for PC users to editing STR#200 (the bodystring) manually, is over in the Themes forum.
Raeven's 7 Simple Steps to Taming the Savage Tiki Sign (iffpencil)
Reducing the number of animation sprites in an object (resulting in a smaller file size). A look at Graphics resources and how they work.

gs Customizing your Costume Trunk : Replacing the skins to suit your own game

gs Tutorial for changing display cases to sell new items (iffpencil, milkshape)
Ludic explains how to clone a display case and alter it to sell a gift item you have created. Thread also includes info on making the mesh for your new gift using Milkshape (pc).

Additional sources for learning to hack Sims Objects:
(Mac Only) Understanding BHAVS (IffSnooper)
Peter Gould shows how to edit BHAVs using IffSnooper. Includes "translating" from IffPencil to Iffsnooper allowing Mac users to benefit from the hacking tutorials that are out there written for IffPencil
http://homepage.mac.com/petergould/IFFS/BHAV/bhav1.html
Inrez Sims Hacking Tutorials (iffpencil)
Download tutorials that teach how to Child Enable Cooking objects and another on adding Custom foods (single serving) to any refrigerator
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/inrezsims/
Real Sims - Tutorial : Recloning objects (hex editor, t-mog)
(PC) Advises you delete RSMP and let Tmog generate a new one. (note: This is not something I am familiar with)
http://www.therealsim.com/recloningusingtmog.shtml
Real Sims - Tutorial : Adding Sprite Rotations to an object (iffpencil, T-mog)
Teaches swapping the graphics resources using Iffpencil instead of editing the XML
http://www.therealsim.com/sims1addingrotations.shtml
Simania's Sim Support page
Not all articles here are on hacking but the hacking ones are good. Lots of good information rather than simple "do this, do this do that" instructions.
http://simania.nl/ssp/ssp.htm
Simply Enchanted (for PC users)
Three tutorials (for PC users) that cover 1) swapping animations and sounds, motive adjustment and alter budget, 2. changing cooking/mech to other skills, and 3. Creating a custom animation (touches on simpose instructions) and attaching that to a mirror. These are very old tutorials that include using 'Script Station'. The 3 tutorials themselves are great, however. Those who have completed Sims College's Entry Level Hacking classes should b able to figure out how to use IffPencil for everything quite easily.

Some Sim Things - Hacking Tutorials (IffPencil)
Several tutorials that address some of the most common concerns: Removing the EP requirement line in objects, Increasing motives (in a bed) and a series of 6 tutorials altering a shower in many ways (removing floods, removing "shoo", never gets dirty, adjusting current motive, adding other motives and adding roomscore)

The Secret Society of Woobsha :: Woobsha Workshop
General hacking information for both Mac and PC users along a few tutorials including changing an NPCs skins, turning an object into a light source and making an object with glow in the dark parts
http://www.woobsha.com/diyworkshop.html
Wilf's Sims Stuff
The GUID list is invaluable. Teaches how to clone objects with an NPC. As this is an old site and often refers to using a HEX editor but all of this can be done with iffpencil.

warning: Pop-ups
gs Using Object ID to locate Object Conflicts (Object ID)
:win Mars explains in detail how to locate and fix object ID conflicts using the free, PC program "Object ID" . Includes a link to the program (you'll want your popup blocker on before going to that link, however)

I was just pokin' about at The Sims1 Depot and there's a really great Simpose Tutorial there. This is not a tutorial on making animations with simpose it's a tutorial for USING Simpose, introducing you to all of the features and settings.

Sims College's Entry Level Hacking Lessons
http://www.woobsha.com/SimsCollegeArchive/
The Entry Level class was designed for people who have never before hacked, or have very little working knowledge of hacking. The objective is to introduce the terminology and concepts used in hacking, as well as a basic hands-on training to be used as a solid foundation for the ensuing classes. During the 4-week course, students covered:
- Motives, Advertisement, and a brief look at the programs used.
- Moods, Motives and Behaviors
- Exploration of Sounds and Animations
- Functions and BCON Modification
Intermediate Level hacking is designed to take the students several steps further into the world of hacking, and serves to promote good programming skills and a more developed understanding of how objects work in The Sims game. Prospective students should have a basic understanding of terminology and object functions.
Requirements: Either some hacking knowledge or completion of Entry Level Hacking.
The four Intermediate Hacking Lessons cover:
- Variable types, Global calls, and Person type/gender filters
- Motives, Skills and interests (beds and chairs)
- More on Interests (bookcases)
- Introducing Graphics Resources and Randomizing Events (includes adjusting the family budget)
Note: SimsCollege.com originally held online classes. The classes ended some time ago but the owners of the site left the material online so other would be able to use them as tutorials. These Entry Level Hacking Lessons are reprinted here with kind permission of the author for those how are having trouble accessing the originals at the Sims College Classrooms site.

There is a tutorial on how to add an extra tile to an object here:
