Unfortunately, alot of records back then were kept over things like arrest and Business ventures. I know I got Horse-theives, Circus Folk, Rum Runners in my adopted family. Should know more about birth family within a week or so...Almost scared. I'm a Goof-Ball and there is no telling what runs in my blood!!! surprise

That sounds exciting and scary at the same time. What happens after-wards, if I can ask?

I just don't know. I never looked until I got a call from someone saying they thought I was a long lost sister. I wasn't, however my daughter, Grand-Daughter and I are all so much alike, we thought there might be someone out there, who like us, would want to know her baby is happy and grateful for life. I may leave out the Horse-Theivin' if they ask about Adoptive Family whistle

I don't know if this all is steampunk, but they are interesting pictures. I got lost in the searching for pictures the other day. I got to thinking about how they (colonist) made soaps and candles. I can't imagine how hard life must of been, I get upset when the phone lines or internet is messed up laugh

I love the shoes! A "Cobbler Bench" cloned from a Gnome/Gargoyle Bench maybe? Just produces a few different shoes instead of Gnomes! whistle

You can make and Victorian-era machinery into steampunk machinery - just power it with a boiler instead of manual power... or fuel, if you want to go dieselpunk.

Bumping!! Earlier in the thread, Claire (Lilac_Sim) posted an antique bathroom picture... I posted this elsewhere (I think), but I made the rbcage shower in that pic for the Christmas calendar at CTO. There's also apartment versions on my site.

AND - one of my upcoming projects is going to be more steampunk/dieselpunk stuff.
