Not the campfire - I don't want an NPC to go with!! And I don't want to cook either!!

I've been looking around and can't find a base that's a fireplace (and cloneable)!!

Wanting to make a Warm Morning stove (kinda like a pot belly), but bigger and I need it to be useable.

I have the pot Belly stove from Hooty, but it's cloned from a light!!

Any suggestions?

BTW - I've never taken a 2 tile and made it ino a 1 tile!!

the fireplace from my egyptian limestone bedroom set is single tile, no burn, but does require a wall.

http://aponeesimz.com/seriesegyptian1.html

the corner fireplace from the simchester weekly downloads is also one tile, and i don't believe it requires a wall.

it's at the house in historical preservation, week 2 downloads, if you don't already have it.

they are both free to clone

edit: i just checked an the corner fireplace from simchester does require a wall, but that can be easily fixed...

open the file in iffpencil

open BHAV 4097 Init Common

highlight line 3 - My room placement Assign To: 0
and change the true line from 4 to 5

this will route around the wall requirement, but if you want to make sure

just highlight line 4 - My wall placement flags Set Flag wall required behind
and right click -> delete. easy peasy!

Gone - I'm making one that looks most like a pot belly and one that is more square!

I own an antique Warm Morning, but I'm not talented enough to render it in Sims!! (Still haven't learned how to use Anim8or or PSP well enough)

Soon as I check them in game I'll put them at my Yahoo (give me a couple of days)!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence!!

I know this is from a long time ago,but I would like a one tiled fireplace too. I had one once, but it never worked. It wouldn't light on it's own and it wouldn't let my Sim light it. I couldn't even click on it so I deleted it. All the places that are listed here are now closed so I was wondering if there were any more out there.

There are a couple of one-tile fireplaces from Sheldon Sims (lynhunterfireplace for example). I have them if anybody wants them.

Aponee Simz is now Saving the Sims yahoo groups. The organization is a bit difficult, unfortunately, (especially when you were not familiar with the website's layout) but I think everything is in there

Simchester stuff is in this one
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/aponee_simz1/info

The Egyptian Series is in this one
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/aponeesimz/files/Series/

(the "info" page of each one links to the additional groups. Aponee made some really amazing stuff & bases)

Raeven, you are the best. I got the fireplaces from Aponee. Thank you.

I do have a question, though. The firplace works fine at home by letting my Sim start it,but on away lots,it doesn't start on it's own. How can I fix that?

Glad I could help out!

Try this tutorial out on it
http://woobsha.com/diy-HowDoI-fireplaces.html

Since it is a hacked item some changes might have been made inside (like BHAV numbers or names or even how things work) so it might take a little translating.

The above is a quick-n-dirty "tutorial" that really just says 'do this, do that' without explaining WHY to do some things so it may end up being a bit difficult to apply to her fireplace if she has changed certain things If that does turn out to be the case I'll try to write up a new set of instructions for her specific fireplace.

It kinda worked. Now the fireplace stays lit ALL the time, but there's no light coming from it. I only want the fireplace to light automatically on away lots, not at home. I like having my Sim light the fire in the evening.

Ah, she must have customized it a bit as well as reducing it to one tile. OK, which one are you trying to work with, exactly? I'll try to whip up a quick thing for it this weekend.

I'm afraid since the weekend is already over I wot find time to write up any instructions for you. Here's a patch that should fix your problem. apply to it Aponee's fireplace (not the one that you modified).

Import the BHAVs from the patch into aponee's fireplace, overwriting the existing BHAVs

I also recommend deleting those 12 BMP_ resources and typing "2000" into the Catalog ID line in the OBJD resource, just to reduce file size and correct the buymode name & text.
