16bobbyhelmet's skn needs to be listed inside of B003MAFit_rscop_ws.cmx, not the cmx



(Also the inside of your B003MAFit_rscop_ws.cmx there is a typo
That should be a 2 above PELVIS, not a 3, because only 2 skns are listed)

Yes, this method will create a version of B003MAFit with hat for all B003MAFit bmps.

I think B003MAFit comes with the game, correct?
So this provides you with one version of the mesh with no Hat.
And now you are inserting an ADDITIONAL version with a hat.
When you go through Create A Sim, all B003mafit outfits will appear twice, once without the hat + once with the hat.

To create a (playable) policeman outfit that is separate from the original B003mafit you must choose a unique Mesh ID number. Use this unique mesh number to create a CMX.

Not the PELVIS part, no.

The Mesh ID# is the 003 part

You must change 003 to a new number that no one has ever used before. This is difficult because so many numbers have been used. I am not a skinner so, sadly, I cannot help you figure out which number might be available.

Happily this little ID# also allows letters! So people use letters to help make their new ID# unique. But never more than 3 characters (digits).

    EXAMPLE

    I make VERY few meshes so I use "qi" in mine.
    A little girl head I made, for example, is Cqi0fc...
    A body I made for females is Bqi0fa...

    OK because even though it is the same ID# (qi0), it is a different type pf mesh. One is a female child head, one is a female adult body.

    BUT the 2nd female adult body I made must be named Bqi1fa...,because there is already a qi0 female adult body.


Some day, after I have used "qi9", I will have no more unique numbers to use. I am not allowed to use "qi10" for this is 4 characters (q-i-1-0).

An experienced skinner will be much more familiar with what Mesh ID#s are already used by people. They used to make "Master Mesh Lists" of every ID# they knew, to aid meshers in finding a unique one.

Hopefully one of them can help you to choose a unique Mesh ID#
