How to edit default Sim outfits on the Mac

IFFSnooper can edit the following bodystring (STR# 200) settings directly
body cmx + bmp
head cmx + bmp
nude cmx + bmp
swim cmx + bmp
PJ cmx + bmp
Formal cmx + bmp

You can also edit
body type (child/adult/cat/dog/other), skin shade and sex
but they are covered up by the BMP preview image in the screenshot

To edit any other values like winterwear or the default hands or the Sim's age I recommend temporarily changing the STR# resource ID to a different number like 201, in which case it is possible to edit the resource line by line as a generic STR# resource. Then revert the resource number to 200 so that it will work in game.

Thanks, Peter!

Would the resource then be displayed like the first picture on your Edit Text Strings page (showing a CTSS resource)
http://homepage.mac.com/petergould/IFFS/Details/text.html

Would 'we' then use the chart I listed in the hacker's hideout Reference Charts sticky (listing what each line is)?
Quote:
....
#30: Which buyable formal skin & mesh to use (cmx first, bmp second)
#31: Which buyable swim skin & mesh to use (cmx first, bmp second)
#32: Which buyable lingerie skin & mesh to use (cmx first, bmp second)
#33: Which buyable winter skin & mesh to use (cmx first, bmp second)
#34: Which buyable HF skin & mesh to use (cmx first, bmp second)
Or Is that chart strictly something PC users need?

Thank you so much, Peter.

I had comparable information from Raeven for IffPencil, but I really don't like posting links for pc users only, if there is any possible way that I can get reliable information for mac users, too.

It would be displayed like the TTAs at the bottom of the page. I will try to get a screenshot up in the next couple of days.

It's the same for the Mac - the last entry in STR# 200 is the High Fashion skin for Superstar and Makin' Magic.

OH I see! The line numbers are in the drop down menu shown in the TTAs picture - that particular TTAs shown has 20 lines (#19 being the last one).

Here is a screenshot showing a bodystring renumbered to STR# 201, as seen in the generic string edit window.

IFFSnooper 1.2.3b7 lets you edit the extra lines in STR# 200 without the need to temporarily renumber the resource. Hold down the option key when you press the "Edit" button and you'll get the generic string edit window.

Thanks to KarinL for reminding me.
