I must be mad. I've just spent 6 hours in Milkshape, trying to make a daywear mesh for some of the pix Gone put up in the first couple of posts.

Several times I forgot to save, or saved the wrong thing, so I've had lots of practice in starting over.

I may have a day wear mesh that just needs one or two bits fixed. And I'm not sure if I've got the texture mapping right yet.

But I've forced myself to go way beyond any stage I ever got to before, into changes to whole bunches of vertices. I'm not at all sure that I started with the right meshes. jfade's psycho

My eyes and whole body are aching, and last night's dinner pots and pans are still sitting in the sink - but I just might be getting close to comfort with MilkShape. (Now if only I could find an extra 2 weeks between now and Xmas, I might find time to learn enough that I won't forget everything between now and the next time I open Milkshape.)

You're not off the hook, my lad! The better part of two solid days with MilkShape, and now I can probably answer most of your questions. So prepare yourself to learn the controls for the MilkShape tools. yes

MilkShape is unbelievably addictive once you get the tool controls sorted.

Since nobody seems to have the crinoline mesh from Sims Levittown, I guess the next thing is to have a shot at making our own 50's mesh.

hi all,

I have some 20s men's skins which I will bundle some up and release in the next week or so to help with this theme. It's just going to take me a few days to do all the zipping - believe it or not it takes a while to do all those simpose pics and make up the zips. I'd done these skins months ago but then life got too busy and so I'm only slowly getting to some sims stuff again.

I'm with you on the making of preview pix and zips. In some cases, it takes more time than making the actual skins, and it's a heck of a lot less amusing.

I've large numbers of skins that will probably never be released, because before I can upload them, I have to do all the that boring and time-consuming stuff.

I like playing with skinning, and meshing is starting to become addictive. So the pile of unreleased skins grows and grows. sad
