There is a new challenge developed for members - filling a market cart with produce and flowers.

There are 2 bases for you to use: the easy cart can be filled as a retexture excercise only - there is no A or Z sprite work needed. The intermediate cart will involve editing of these sprites. So how easy or how complicated you want to make it is up to you. The main idea is to have fun!!

We hope this challenge will inspire beginners to have a go and learn something new. We also hope that experienced object makers who are feeling a bit bored will be inspired to try their hand. This challenge has been developed in conjunction with a tutorial in the Object Creation and Recolouring Shop: http://simblesseoblige.com/viewtopic.php?t=445

The tutorial shows how to fill the intermediate cart but those doing the easy cart will also find it very useful. If you have any questions about the steps in the tutorial please post it in that thread. Remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question

There is no deadline to this challenge. We started it in October because it's autumn and close to the thanksgiving holidays. A harvest theme clutterbox has also been started to get the creative juices flowing: http://simblesseoblige.com/viewtopic.php?t=475

Please use this thread to post pictures of your finished carts - there is no competition and no-one's cart is going to be criticised. We just want you to enjoy yourselves and have fun!

We've added something new over in Novice's Nook that may help some people with this project. No more guesswork!

Nice job! You know Sims, they're just notorious for having bad taste.

I haven't even started mine yet. Too many irons in the fire!

Oh that's fantastic! Well done!! I love how you changed the cart to be wood (even the boxes at the back) and the metal buckets into wood too. The different vegetables look great!! :smt041

That looks just great! You'd never know it was your first two-tiled object. Wonderful job--the wood tone is really nice. I hadn't even considered recoloring the cart itself--a whole new world of possibilities just opened up before me!

Chirin, I'm in awe.

I'm really impressed with the different approach you took, by making the buckets into wooden herb pots instead of flower pails, and the way you changed the wood tones to suit your own sense of colour.

And so quickly, to the the first to post! I haven't even finished making my vegetable clutter!

One of the reasons that I love challenges is the way that they spark so much creativity from almost everyone who tries them. idea:

Definitely, and seeing how others have done it often lead us to think in different ways than we would normally. It's a great source of inspiration.

Chirin, I hope that you're offering it on your sims site, so that everyone can download it and have it in her game.

I got inspired by a display I saw at Wal-mart  and went a little overboard.
