I'm trying to replicate a house, but the front is on the second floor, and the downstairs is at ground level.

Basically, I'm wondering if there is any fake hill (maybe made from stairs so people can actually walk on it?) or something similar that could make the front of the house look like it's built into a hill, while still leaving the back accessible from downstairs.

I was going to just do it myself, but as I think about it, it would be a lot of work - so in case anyone else already has made such a thing I thought I'd ask first.

Thanks!

I have three staircases (and matching wallpapers) in my game, that are recolored with grass, sand, and snow that Maxis-match the game's terrains. If you are not able to find any websites/Yahoo Groups that have the staircase you are looking for, just PM me.

Jendea has a fake hillside that was cloned from a rug. Sims can't walk on it, but it gives the appearance of the first floor being underground. It is on page 9 under Plants & Garden.

I have some of those too, from Boudicca's Sims (which has since closed), as well as some grass, sand, and snow floor tiles.

Those work pretty well. See this thread for a house I made with them.

Are these still available anywhere? The Wayback Machine appears to only have the sandy stairs and none of the matching walls and floors. :( Sorry to pull up such an ancient thread, but I am desperate to build a proper hobbit hole!

Edit: I found them, here: http://simblesseoblige.com/viewtopic.php?t=10730 Sorry for pulling up an old thread unnecessarily. It, um, wasn't the most intuitive place to look for them, though. whistle
