I have uploaded new versions of IFFSnooper to SimLouvre.

The main new feature is the ability to modify PALT resources for simple recolours. This was implemented as a way to identify modified test objects in game, but some of you may find it handy when redecorating lots.


Here is a Maxis sofa, and the corresponding PALT resource for the sprites (as listed in the SPR2 resource tab).



Use the more or less or desaturate buttons to modify the palette and thus the sprites, as shown below:

Voilą, a recoloured sofa.

What a brilliant idea! I don't see how I can use it, as a non-mac person, but the idea is great.

I am looking forward to seeing many recolors people have done. Since I'm still a complete ninny at multitiled objects, I hope a lot of good objects come of this.
