I've made a new door, but found that the original doesn't drop with the walls!!

Using the handy-dandy tut for this; went to "init common" and put in the correct code - the center drops, but the sides do NOT!!

I've looked thru the guts of it in Iff Pencil 2, but don't see the line (or lines) to change so that the whole thing drops with the walls.

The 3 tile behind it is the doorway by the same name!! It worked great!!

Help, please?!

One workaround is to use the liugnocutaway object until you figure out where the drop coding should go.

Its catalog description:
Quote:
liugnocutaway, livin-it-up.net

When this object is placed, objects on the same tile will be hidden when walls are down. This is especially good for shutters!
Can be moved, and placed many times without unpausing.

It's downloadable here, about 2/3 of the way down the page.

Hey - there Aaron!!

I have that object, but I've never used it!!

I hear it works!!

I just thought recoding it would work for other doors I'd like to do!!

This set is no where done - so maybe Peter will see this and give me the solution!!

Well that is odd - I would have thought that if you set the "hide for cutaway" flag in the common init that all the tiles would drop. On the other hand, I don't think any of the Atelier Quebec doors use the "hide for cutaway" flag anyway (at least not the ones I looked at tonight).

If you send me the door clone I will try to figure out what went missing.

I think the problem is that there are two sets of init BHAVs in these doors,

BHAV 4102 init part 1
BHAV 4103 init common
BHAV 4104 init part 2

and

BHAV 4132 init part 1 side
BHAV 4134 init part 2 side
BHAV 4135 init common

The hide for cutaway code was added to init common BHAV 4103, but the side tiles are initialized with BHAV 4132 and 4134, which use init common BHAV 4135. If you add the hide for cutaway code to BHAV 4135 then everything should drop OK.

It came with the model!!

At ShareCG:

http://www.sharecg.com/v/19036/browse/5/3D-Model/Undergrounf-Tunnel-Scene-.3ds-Version

Nana, but I changed it slightly to this texture:

Modeling changes it somewhat as it blurs some of fine detail!!

You're so welcome!!

If you want great textures for free go here:

http://cgtextures.com/

You have to join (kinda), but I've never had a problem and they have the best textures and a lot of them are tileable!!

Thank you for the links Denise. I misplaced my textures folder somehow and have to start collecting them all over again.

Your doors above look great. thumbsup
